I love that we share the interest of rodeo with those in our family that we do some of them that is the only time we get to spend time with them and I love that oppurtunity and treasure the memories we have the chance to make with them I hope they know that I love them :) and look forward to all the rodeos this year!

Crazy Kids!

The hotel we were staying at had their grand opening for their pool while we were there how fun would that be for the kids (thinking it was indoors) NOT it was an outdoor pool I am pretty sure they do not understand the meaning of cold it was freezing! Our crazy kids care oh no they all went swimming except I was mean and wouldn't let the girls go we had one getting tonsils out the following week and I didn't want to take the chance on getting sick! Little babe came down to take a peak and I kept eye from the laundry room Big babe was mad and wanted no part in seeing others have a good time :(

St George Rodeo

As usual I am a little late with my updates and then I have to many updates at once sorry to those who do not like that :)

We got to go to St George for the junior high rodeo the kids did awesome and it was freezing but not as freezing as last year which was a bonus! It is amazing to me at how awesome these kids really are rodeo is a tough sport and they go out and give it their all and love every minute of it! This is my boy and his team roping partner and then him wrestling a steer. I am proud of them all. This year we got to rodeo with the Evans boys and the Gines Gang, It was Stanleys first time at taking on a steer he doesn't have the size some of them other boys have but he is getting down the technique and he had a great teacher tell him that is what is important! He and Samanthee had their first qualifying team roping run which is really awesome!

All in all it was a Great Time!

I know brother-in-law it is only been winter for a month

Christmas

We had an awesome Christmas this year . On Christmas Eve we were playing games and watchin movies in the front room and the presents were just gettin to little babe she just wanted to open something please Mom just one present so finally I said lets go get in the tub and then you can come in and open a present... So we got in the tub (and me knowing what the present was of course a dirty trick indeed to most kids the dreaded Christmas Eve pajamas) she got all excited got out of the tub and went to put on some jammies I said no lets just stay in our undies and open presents needless to say she was not very happy and did not like that idea what so ever so I took some really cute pix she snuck in and got jammies on and then we opened the present and she had a huge sigh and said no mom not jammies a present!!! Grandma gave in and let them open a present from her it probably was much cuter being here and witnessing it but I thought I would share cause it was so dang cute...

Christmas and New Years

On New Years Eve the kids were invited to a kids party at the Bahes the Bahes are great friends of ours and the kids had a blast we played the WII at my sisters with the littler kids but they got no playing time we were playing the Price is Right the guy at the store said you would be bored after 40 minutes Oh no we missed the New Year playing for hours :)




Yes she is a nice mom and they are riding scooters in the house :)

Woo Hoo Grandpa is here

Always along with grandpas visits comes some of the old fashioned fun before we had so many things just handed to us to have a good time we actually had to think of something on our own here is the kids on a homemade horse feeder sled being pulled in the horse pasture it looked so fun I almost ALMOST felt like going out in the cold and giving it a try!

Congratulations Guys

My boy had an awesome year this year at the LBRA he worked really hard and we're very happy for him :) although he is awesome at rodeo it is not an easy sport to compete in -there is lots of very good competition, he was competing neck and neck the whole year! for me there were times I could only watch out the corner of my eye- I think the pressure is harder on me then it ever is him... He is a very good competitor and rarely realizes the pressure to win he is just happy to be there win or lose I hope he is always that good of a sport he may get frustrated every now and again with his performance but he is usually pretty good at shaking it off. He won the All-Around competition this year and won a saddle, he also won 1st place in Team roping and 2nd place in team roping buckles,he won 1st place in breakaway roping buckle, he won 2nd place in goat tying off the ground buckle and 3rd place in tying off the horse in that event he competes with guys that are a couple years older than him... he won a place in everything he competed in this year even poles and barrels when it comes to rodeos he gives a 110 % even after the rodeo he will come home and often head right back out to the ropin dummy I love that he has so much dedication and wants to do what it takes to be the very best even though he is a little beastly at times and I wish he was as dedicated to his school work :) I hope he knows how much I love him and how pleased I am with the young man that he is....

I can't forget my girl either she worked very hard to also win a buckle in the stick horse racing she had speed on her feet she also was just one out of buckle status in the goat ribbon pull she was awesome!! she is now doing a series where she is starting to rope the dummy and is a good little roper she is not as easy to persuade to practice but she is comin around :)

Santa

I know Christmas is over but these are some cute Santa pics I thought... This is at the banquet for the rodeo I hope Santa knows the kids (or maybe the big kids) had a great time and we really appreciate him being there :)

Broken Camera

So I haven't been able to post since Halloween because my son accidentally dropped my camera and it broke never to work again mind you just 1 week after my warranty expired....
I talked my husband into buying me a camera for Christmas because it was a really good camera and the stink really wouldn't let me use it til Christmas so I have a blank spot for a couple of months and had to wait for my sister to download her pics so I could blog!
